I’m back into my writing again. I had an interview with them last Valentines Day in the Lovapalooza. Im really blessed in my work because I have to see and talked with the people I like and love.

They were the nicest people there, and very accommodating to the press. Now I get to see them in Bituing Walang Ningning which makes me the happiest fan in the world! Thank you ABSCBN.

At one glance you’ll recognize immediately Janus del Prado , a the former child star, appearing in many television shows and in movies.

He was best known in the movie Batang X and youth oriented show G-mick together with John Pratts and Heart Evangelista .

After their TV show was replaced, Janus disappeared without a trace. When asked, why he wasn’t visible for quite some time, he refuses to talk about it, but still manages to joke around. “ Actually kaya nawala ako dahil nabuntis ako, tapos hinayaan ko pa mawala yung mga scratch mark ko dito sa tiyan”.

Luckily he was given a chance to make a comeback through Qpids. It is a reality television dating show aired in ABS-CBN last year. The show featured nine love pairs that competed against each other through weekly drama challenges.

Janus was paired to a 17 year old half Filipina half French, Carla Humphries Loren who was not attracted to him from the start because of their differences.

But opposites do attract, the clash of Janus’s innate sense of humor and Carla’s seriousness was very likable to the audience. Their comical tandem worked and made them the voter’s choice during the finals.

Qpids may be over but their loveteam is just getting started.

They weren’t hailed as the as the Ulltimate Loveteam but Janus and Carla feels more than a winner as being part of the romantic comedy movie of Joseph(Bitangcol) and Sandara (Park) “I Love You Lucky” . The couple reveals that they will also be one of the casts in ABS CBN’s upcoming sitcom.

Their team-up was first tested in one of , Maalala Mo Kaya episode proving to the people, that aside from having each other as a partner their strong point is also having a talent.

When asked if there’s an off-screen romance between the two of them, Carla defensively answers, “Hindi po!”

“We’re just friends”, Janus adds.

Southern Living had the chance to get to know more about the Qpids loveteam during an interview at the Blugre’ Coffee before the Close Up Lovapalooza show.

Carla: Kalog Sweet and Makulit

Janus; Vivacious, Voluptuous, and Alluring

How do see your lovetam five years from now?

Carla: Going strong

What’s the secret of your loveteam, why it clicked immediately ?

Janus: Secret!

What inspires you?

Carla: Our inspiration is each other.

Who is the person you look-up to?

Carla: My parents

Janus: Yung mga matatangkad na tao (laughs)

If your’e not in showbiz right now what would you be doing?

Carla: Business o school siguro.

Janus: Nasa banda na ako

Do you sing?

Janus: No, I play the guitar.

What’s your dream role?

Janus: Sa akin, gusto ko maging psychotic na tao o yung may imaginary friend.

Carla: Katulad ni Imang sa Kampaneran Kuba, yung kinakaawaan tapos nagbabago ang anyo. Pwede rin ang Dyesebel at Blusang Itim.

How do you handle fame?

Janus: What fame?

Being the texters choice of the Qpids, you still don’t realize that you are famous?

Carla: Ang sa amin kasi, we don’t count sa mga taong nakakakilala sa amin, gusto lang naming mapasaya sila.

Carla: Gusto ko yung mata niya and nose?

Janus: Yung lahat sa kanya

Whats’ one thing about you that you’s like to change?

Carla: Madami kasi, pero yung mga mabubuti I try to enhance it.

Janus: Yung temper ko, ang patience ko kasi maliit lang, madali rin ako mairita pero hindi naman dumadating sa point na nagwawala na ako.

What’s your advice to aspiring stars?

Carla; Never loose hope, kapag gusto niyo gawin niyo.

Janus: Kung ano man ang gusto niyong pasukin kahit hindi man pag-aartista,basta nadoon ang passion gawin niyo. Like sasabihan ka,”Ano ba yan hindi ka kikita dyan!,”, huwag niyong hayaan na ang ibang mga tao ang magdikta sa inyo.
